Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur played out an entertaining 1-1 draw at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, as late goals from Dele Alli and Riyad Mahrez was a fitting finish to a game full of action.
With the point Leicester remains unbeaten through three games, on seven points. As for Spurs, they now have just two points from their opening three games and are without a win this season.

Leicester started brightly and caused Spurs plenty or problems early on, as Marc Albrighton cut inside and drilled an effort just over the bar. Moussa Dembele had a fierce strike from distance saved by Kasper Schmeichel but Spurs struggled to get going in attack as Harry Kane was marshaled well by Leicester’s backline.

On the stroke of half time Leicester were unlucky not to have a penalty kick as Riyad Mahrez turned Jan Vertonghen in the box and the Belgian center back clattered into the winger. No penalty was the call, but the home fans were incensed.

In the second half Spurs came flying out of the traps and Nacer Chadli should have put them 1-0 up but blazed wide from eight yards out after a superb ball from Kyle Walker. Glorious chance.
A dangerous ball into the box almost found the bottom corner as Chadli challenged, with Spurs pressing hard for the opener at an increasingly nervous KP. In the 63rd minute Kane wriggled free but sent his effort straight at a relieved Schmeichel. Leicester almost took the lead when Mahrez cut in from the right and drilled a low effort past Hugo Lloris but the ball cannoned off the post and back out.
Spurs went 1-0 up with 10 minutes to go as youngster Alli scored his first-ever goal for the club with a header at the back post. However, Tottenham’s celebrations were short-lived as Mahrez jinxed in from the right and curled an absolute beauty into the top corner for his fourth goal in three games. 1-1 and pandemonium at the King Power.
Late on Wes Morgan had a header well-saved by Lloris and both teams had to settle for a point in the sun.
