Following his side’s 0-0 draw with Liverpool, Arsene Wenger came across as more disappointed than angry over Arsenal having been genuinely robbed of Aaron Ramsey’s opening goal in 8th minute. Unlike Brendan Rodgers, who thought Liverpool deserved a goal and three points, Wenger insisted Arsenal were the ones hard done by in the end.

Wenger, in his post-game television interview, on his side’s misfortune:

“With the fact that Liverpool had some chances in the first half, and nothing in the second half, I believe we had chances in both halves. We were unlucky, because we scored a regular goal and that was canceled by a decision that was difficult to understand.”

“In the first half, I think we were a bit insecure at the back, because we had a completely reshuffled defense. But after that, in the second half, they were much more stable and we played quite well. … We had some chances, enough to win the game.”
