Manchester City and Wolfsburg are putting the finishing touches on a $75 million deal that will bring playmaker Kevin De Bruyne back to the Premier League.
The 24-year-old couldn’t find his role at Chelsea, but is a dynamic talent. Is that a sign that the Premier League style doesn’t suit De Bruyne’s game?
Or was he just a poor fit at Stamford Bridge?

You’d have to think more the latter than the former, as De Bruyne has shone at Wolfsburg and Werder Bremen. And it seems we could find out this Fall, as De Bruyne may be headed to the Etihad Stadium.
Sky Germany said the move could be done as soon as Tuesday:
Wolfsburg’s sporting director Klaus Allofs denied that a formal offer had been made, but subsequently admitted that he and the club were expecting such an event imminently.
That bid came last week and was agreed by the Bundesliga club, despite De Bruyne being lured into stating he was staying at Wolfsburg at the Sport-Bild awards, angering his agent.
The 33-times capped Belgian has eight goals for his country, and is a difference maker in attack. Considering the price tag, should City have any fears about the blonde-haired creator’s tough time breaking through at Chelsea?
