With recent reports claiming Manchester United were set to make a huge bid for the Brazilian superstar, Barca have become increasingly wary that Neymar could be tempted to join United and be a leading man elsewhere rather than share the limelight alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. Neymar’s current deals runs out in 2018, but Barcelona want him to sign a new deal until 2021 which would pay him $9.8 million per year in wages.

Stoke City have been linked with a move for Hamburg’s Ivica Olic. The Croatian forward turned down a move to the Britannia Stadium last summer but the 35-year-old could arrive before Deadline Day to give the Potters’ attack more firepower after a solid start to the season. The Sun reports that Olic is wanted by Mark Hughes to replace Jonathan Walters and Olic’s 227 goals in 572 career games is certainly impressive, as is his CV of playing for the likes of Wolfsburg and Bayern Munich, plus World Cup and European Championship appearances with Croatia.

Leicester City is in talks with Birmingham City youngster Demarai Gray. The 19-year-old winger has a release clause for $7.5 million and the Foxes have met that according to numerous reports in the UK. Gray burst onto the scene in the Championship last season and the England U-20 international has had many suitors as Bournemouth failed in a bid to sign him back in January. Following Claudio Ranieri’s side having a fine start to the new season, he looks keen to bolster his attack with the arrival of Gray before the transfer deadline. Gray scored a screamer against Leicester during preseason, now he could be lining up for Birmingham’s Midlands rivals.
