Hip.

Calf.

Thigh.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has almost as many major injuries (3) as goals for Liverpool (5) since the start of last season.

So it’s understandable that Reds fans hearing of his improved fitness have little patience when it comes to having him back on the pitch. They’ll have to have some, though, as manager Brendan Rodgers says he won’t be playing this weekend against Manchester United.

From the BBC:

“He looked really sharp, probably the best he’s looked fitness-wise for 18 months,” said Rodgers.

…”I can only look at what I see and from my experiences in the past I don’t want to put any timeline on him coming back.”

The 26-year-old Anfield star has 40 goals in 66 appearances for Liverpool, and his return could dramatically help the team. Originally slated for an October return, Sturridge is fully participating with the club in training. How far is he from the match pitch?
