Spurs looked lethargic and easy-going for much of their 1-0 away win over Sunderland, the club’s first win of the Premier League season. But manager Mauricio Pochettino saw something different.
The Argentinian said the 1st half there were problems that needed to be fixed, but that “in the second half we played more narrow and more compact, and I think we dominated the game.”
“Our tempo was very good, we played at a high tempo from the very beginning,” Pochettino added. “I think we felt a little bit tired in the second half because the tempo was higher and I think that the second half we dominated the game because in the first half the effort was higher and we worked very hard.”
