Arsenal: More surgery for Wilshere

The black clouds over Jack Wilshere have officially set up shop for a longer stay.

Arsenal’s talented but injury-ravaged midfielder is set for more surgery and another three months on the sidelines after complications arose in his recovery from a broken leg.

In short, the healing wasn’t going as quickly as expected, and he’ll need a small plate inserted in his left fibula.


Due to a slow healing response from a fracture suffered in August, the club can confirm that Jack Wilshere is to undergo an operation to his left fibula.

The decision to intervene has been taken quickly after regular reviews by specialists, who feel that Jack’s scans show that the healing process is not progressing as well as expected.

The 23-year-old with 28 caps for England hasn’t played a full Premier League season since 2010-11. Will he bit fit and in form in time for Euro 2016?
