The 25-year-old took over the armband from Steven Gerrard over the summer and the England international had recently flown to the United States of America to undergo treatment on a long-standing heel injury.
However, after missing the last four games with that injury, Henderson was ready to return to action against Norwich City at Anfield on Sunday (Watch live, 11 a.m. ET on USA and online via Live Extra) but he has revealed he suffered a setback during training on Friday as he fractured a bone in his feet.
Henderson has been on Twitter to share his sadness over the injury, as Liverpool will now be without their driving force in central midfield until late November.
