Real Madrid 1-0 Granada
Real Madrid is battling injuries but still managed to earn a 1-0 win over Granada thanks to a second half header from Karim Benzema, who now has four goals in as many games in league play. Real was forced to play without Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez, Sergio Ramos and Danilo, but remains undefeated and unscored upon in La Liga this season.
Eibar 0-2 Atletico Madrid
Scoreless at the break, Diego Simeone made some second half substitutions that paid big dividends for Atletico Madrid. Both Angel Correa and Fernando Torres scored after coming off of the bench, handing Eibar it’s first loss of the season. It was Correa’s first goal for Atletico, as the 20-year-old Argentinian striker is considered one of the brightest young players in the world.

Real Sociedad 2-3 Espanyol
Espanyol escaped a wild one in San Sebastian after Hernan Perez scored a late game winner in the 91st minute. Real Sociedad played the entire second half with ten men after Geronimo Rulli was sent off just before the break, but nearly managed a draw when Jonathas hammered home an equalizer with less than five minutes to play. However, Perez bagged the winner in stoppage time to sink David Moyes‘ side.
Valencia 0-0 Real Betis
Dani Ceballos of Real Betis was sent off in the 48th minute, but Valencia failed to score against ten men and was forced to settle for a scoreless draw at home. Valencia has drawn three of four matches to open the La Liga season, and after falling at home to Zenit St. Petersburg during the week in Champions League play, supporters aren’t too pleased at the Mestalla.
