Over the next few days, expect to see players in pick-up games around the world copying Paul Pogba’s bizarre new penalty kick routine.
Pogba, 21, scored Juventus’ second goal against Genoa on Sunday, giving the reigning champs their first Serie A win of the season.
The French midfielder, who is the most wanted man in European soccer right now, netted from the penalty spot after earlier crashing a thunderous effort against the crossbar, but there was nothing thunderous about his PK. Quite the opposite.

Watch the clip below to see Pogba delicately tip-toe up to the ball as if he was old St. Nick on Christmas Eve, frightened of waking up an expectant household as he delivered gifts.
Of course, if Pogba would have missed, this laid-back approach to penalty taking would have been lambasted across the world. But he scored, which know means youngsters will try and replicate his incredibly long run up to say they too can “do the Pogba” from the penalty spot.

I wonder what his manager Massimiliano Allegri thought as his star man took an eternity to reach the ball?
