Benteke was forced off at halftime against Norwich City last weekend with a hamstring problem, while Firmino and Lovren were both injured in Liverpool’s midweek League Cup match against Carlisle United.
Not only will all three be unavailable against Villa, but according to manager Brendan Rodgers, they could all miss an extended period of time.
Christian [Benteke] will probably be out for a little bit of time.
Young Firmino landed awkwardly in the game the other night and there is another scan on his back, but he may have cracked a bone in his back.
We’ll see how he’ll be over the coming weeks, but certainly he’ll be unavailable for tomorrow.
And Dejan Lovren will be out for probably a few weeks with his ligament injury. So, unfortunately, those three are unavailable.
Those three players join captain Jordan Henderson on the injury list, who was recently ruled out for up to two months with a broken foot.
The pressure on Brendan Rodgers has been building, as Liverpool needed penalties to beat fourth-division Carlisle United in the League Cup, at Anfield. After starting the Premier League season with two wins, the Reds have only managed two points from their next four matches.

Making matters worse, Liverpool has struggled to get results at home, losing 3-0 to West Ham and only managing a draw against Norwich City, before barely scraping by Carlisle in a penalty shootout.
Tomorrow’s match against Aston Villa is almost a must-win for Rodgers, as he can not afford another poor performance at Anfield. The injury list certainly won’t help him, but supporters will still be expecting all three points.
