Mauricio Pochettino was understandably thrilled that his Spurs team handed Manchester City a 4-1 defeat at White Hart Lane on Saturday, and was not worried about scoring a pair of goals that looked to be offside.

“We scored two goals offside? It happens in football, sometimes it’s up to us sometimes to others,” he said.

Pochettino’s rival manager, just as unsurprisingly, felt different.

City boss Manuel Pellegrini was left to pick up the piece from his side’s second-straight loss after starting the season 5-0 without conceding a goal. Now with six goals conceded in two weeks, the “offside” ones do bother him.
