Chelsea welcome Southampton to Stamford Bridge on Saturday (Watch live, 12:30 p.m. ET on NBC and online via Live Extra) with the Blues hoping to get back on track.
As has been well documented, it’s been a difficult start to the season for Jose Mourinho and Chelsea as they’ve already lost five teams in all competition this season. The west Londoners currently sit in the bottom half of the Premier League table with just eight points from their opening seven games. It’s been a difficult start to the campaign, riddled with drama on and off the field for the defending champs.
As for Saints, Ronald Koeman‘s side have looked better of late and seem to have regained some of the defensive solidity which made them so tough to beat last season. Southampton have yet to lose away from home this season, drawing all three games, and they failed to lose to Chelsea last season with two 1-1 draws in their encounters.
In team news Chelsea bring back John Terry in defense and Radamel Falcao starts in place of the suspended Diego Costa in attack. Saints make one change with ex-Chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu returning to the Bridge.
