Three moments that mattered
32′ — Dallas takes the lead with great team goal — Michael Barrios’ seventh goal of the season gave Dallas a lead just after the half-hour mark. 44′ — Ousted saves a penalty to keep it 1-0 — Dallas was awarded a penalty for a soft foul from Timmy Parker on Michael Barrios, and Octavio Rivero stepped up to try and grab another goal. But Whitecaps’ keeper David Ousted made a huge save for Vancouver to keep his team alive.
52′ — Mauro Diaz doubles Dallas’ lead — Mauro Diaz made it 2-0 Dallas with a nifty individual goal. Diaz took advantage of a poor Vancouver touch, nutmegged one defender, shook by another, and found the back of the net.
