It was always in the cards, and now a contract extension has been dealt out to Bournemouth promotion mastermind Eddie Howe.
The 37-year-old manager has overseen three of the Cherries’ promotion campaigns including the final ascent into the Premier League.
And Howe and his club have managed to work out an extension, as planned last season.
Quotes from Bournemouth owner Maxim Demin, from AFCB.co.uk:
“The mutual respect we have for each other has helped create a unique bond at the top of the club and has acted as the foundation for all of our recent successes.
“Together we have managed to achieve a great deal in a short space of time, and I have complete faith in Eddie and his management team to establish AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League over the coming seasons.”
Howe is certainly bright, and this is good insurance for when a “bigger” club comes calling for the young manager.
