“We are not the best team in the country, but we are a team with a very good manager and very good players, trying to reach a normal level.”

That’s just one of the quotes from Jose Mourinho after his Chelsea side handled Aston Villa 2-0 on Saturday, restoring a bit of order to a club that had taken just one of its last six points.

Diego Costa scored two for the Blues, and Mourinho said some of his players who had lost confidence will be buoyed by the result.

Mourinho also offered this quip to Sky Sports:

“We are not afraid of being relegated – we know come the end of the season we will be in the top five or six at least. But at the moment we are not there and we need points, so today we won at home and they are three points that were deserved and the players fought for.”

Chelsea has moved up to 11th, and will have a London derby against surprising West Ham United next.
