Claudio Ranieri was thrilled at the job his Leicester City side did in beating fellow upstarts Crystal Palace at King Power Stadium on Saturday.
His managerial opponent, however, was less than pleased with not only the loss but how Ranieri acted in the contest.
[ MATCH RECAP: Leicester City 1-0 Crystal Palace ]
The Leicester boss apparently skipped the post-match handshake with Alan Pardew, and the Eagles’ mercurial manager was none-too-pleased. Ranieri appears to be the latest name added to “Pardiola’s” touch line enemies.
Pardew “I thought Ranieri was goading our players. He didn’t shake my hand. They’ve got to come to our place. We’ll remember that” #CPFC

Ranieri? He was dismissive of Pardew’s claims, and preferred to focus on what he saw as another upset win.
“It was a tough match, a battle for us, they are stronger than us. We battled well and deserved to win. We are taking it step-by step. It’s important to achieve 40 points, that is our first goal. ”
Ranieri says he was so caught up in win and congratulating players he missed Pardew. Will have glass of wine with him now. #LCFC

We have to wonder whether wine was shared by the managers for the two top-half sides. Alan, look at the bright side: at least Claudio didn’t call you a profane, degrading name.
