Barcelona 3-1 Eibar

With Lionel Messi still out with a knee injury, Luis Suarez picked up the slack for Barcelona, scoring all three goals in a 3-1 win over Eibar. The visitors went ahead with a goal in the opening ten minutes, but then it was all Suarez, as Barcelona remains level on points with Real Madrid at the top of the La Liga table.

Celta Vigo 1-3 Real Madrid

In a battle for first place, Real Madrid prevailed over ten-man Celta Vigo. Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 8th minute, and Danilo would double Real’s lead before the half-hour mark. Gustavo Cabral was sent off for Celta Vigo after getting a second yellow card in the 57th minute, and despite late pressure from the home side, Kaylor Navas stood strong in net for Real to preserve the win.

Atletico Madrid 2-1 Valencia

Atletico remains two points behind leaders Real Madrid and Barcelona with a 2-1 win over Valencia. Jackson Martinez continued his great form for Atleti scoring the first goal, with Yannick Carrasco doubling their lead before the break. Paco Alcacer would pull one back from the penalty spot for Valencia late in the match, but Atleti took all three points at home.

Fiorentina 1-2 Roma

Roma goes to the top of the Serie A table with a big 2-1 win over Fiorentina. Mohamed Salah put Roma ahead in the 6th minute, and Gervinho would make it 2-0 before halftime. However, Salah was sent off late in the match after receiving a second yellow card, so he will be suspended for Roma’s next Serie A match.

Juventus 2-0 Atalanta

Goals from Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic gave Juventus all three points as the club continues to try and battle back from a terrible start to the season. Juve now sits 12th on the table, with an even record of 3-3-3 through nine matches. After losing just three matches all of last season, there’s still room for improvement in Turin.
