Arouna Kone is enjoying a return to form under Roberto Martinez, and the veteran Ivorian striker has topped his latest star performance with a Premier League Player of the Week nod.

The 31-year-old Everton striker scored thrice in the Toffees’ 6-2 destruction of Sunderland, bringing his goal total to five this young season.

That’s his best total since joining the Goodison Park set in 2013 on the heels of an 11-goal PL performance with Martinez’s Wigan Athletic side the previous season.

Kone is the second Everton player to net a hat trick this season, and the third to earn POTW honors.
