Stoke City hosts Chelsea on Saturday, and the London visitors will not have Jose Mourinho on the sideline.

The boss of the struggling Blues failed in his appeal against a one-match stadium ban and a $75,000 fine, and Mourinho will not head to the Britannia Stadium this weekend.

Mourinho received his fine and ban after a 3-1 loss to Saints, claiming that referees are afraid to make decisions for Chelsea.

From Sky Sports:

Mourinho admitted a breach of FA rules after he was charged for misconduct following the game with his comments deemed to “alleged and/or implied bias on the part of a match official or match officials”.

Be prepared for controversy if Chelsea win decisively, as some will claim the club played “unshackled” and proved its distaste for Mourinho.
