UEFA Europa League preview: Spurs, Liverpool look to climb groups

Forty-eight Europa League sides are in play Thursday afternoon, with two Premier League sides looking to boost their chances at a knockout round berth.

Liverpool heads to Rubin Kazan for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff with just a one-point advantage on Group G’s Nos. 3 and 4 teams. The Reds have drawn all three of their group matches so far, including the 1-1 match against No. 3 Rubin Kazan at Anfield.

Spurs will mix it up with Anderlecht again, a 3:05 p.m. ET kickoff. The Belgian side is one of only two clubs to beat Tottenham since September hit, and this time the proceedings will be held at White Hart Lane.

Celtic, Monaco, Borussia Dortmund and Athletic Bilbao are among the other notable clubs in play on Thursday.
