Lionel Messi has been out since October 3 with a knee injury. If anyone thought that would be a problem for Barcelona, they don’t know Barcelona, and they certainly don’t know Neymar.
After dropping their first game without Messi to Sevilla, they’ve won their next four by a combined 13-3. Of those 13 goals, Neymar has scored seven. Luis Suarez has the other six.
Today’s 3-0 win over Villareal was 0-0 at halftime, but Neymar and company quickly went to work after the break. The Brazilian opened the scoring in the 60th minute, Suarez bagged the second, and then Neymar put this cherry on top:
Just kidding, we all know who Lionel is. Neymar isn’t trying to make us forget, but he’s cementing his spot at the top of the soccer superstar world.
