Belgium vs. Spain friendly canceled due to elevated terror threat

A friendly game between Belgium and Spain, originally schedule for Tuesday evening in Brussels, has been canceled due to an elevated terror threat level 72 hours after the attacks across Paris on Friday.

French prosecutors believe they have identified a Belgian national as the mastermind behind the attacks, while a number of the terrorists who carried out the attacks are also said to have lived in Brussels. The terror threat level was elevated to three on Monday, indicating a serious threat.

France’s friendly game against England, to be played in London, will be played as originally scheduled Tuesday evening.
