The League Cup final could still be a Merseyside Derby, as Liverpool and Everton were drawn apart in Wednesday’s semifinal draw.
Liverpool gets a two-legged tie with Stoke City after beating Southampton 6-1 on Wednesday.
Everton will have to take down Manchester City in order to find its way to the final.

So there’s a chance for a Merseyside Derby, a big name showdown (MCFC vs. Liverpool), an USMNT pairing (Everton vs. Stoke), and a 2011 FA Cup final rematch (Stoke vs. Man City).
The first legs will be played during the week of Jan. 4, with the second three weeks later.
