The mighty Bavarians dropped their first league match since last May, as Borussia Monchengladbach is now unbeaten in ten after opening the season with five straight losses.

Gladbach 3-1 Bayern Munich

With the match tied 0-0 in the second half, Gladbach erupted for three goals in less than 15 minutes, capped off by a goal from United States international Fabian Johnson. The red-hot winger has four goals in his last three matches for the club, a good sign for both Gladbach and the USMNT. A positive for Bayern despite the loss, Franck Ribery scored in his return from injury.

Hertha Berlin 2-1 Bayer Leverkusen

Another USMNT international had an impact in the Bundesliga, as John Brooks scored the game-winner for Hertha Berlin against Bayer Leverkusen. Javier Hernandez remained hot as the striker scored another goal for Leverkusen, but a first half red card to Sebastian Boenisch was too much to overcome as Berlin’s strong season continues.

Wolfsburg 1-2 Borussia Dortmund

A last minute winner from former Manchester United man Shinji Kagawa moves Dortmund to within five points of Bayern Munich at the top of the table. Marco Reus had given Dortmund the lead, but it looked like the match would end a draw when Ricardo Rodriguez equalized from the penalty spot in the 90th minute. But Kagawa got on the end of a brilliant bit of team play deep into stoppage time to take all three points for Dortmund.
