Columbus Crew striker Kei Kamara injured his leg in practice on Saturday, a day before the team plays the Portland Timbers in the MLS Cup final.
Kamara, the Crew’s top scorer with 22 goals in the regular season to tie the league lead, fell awkwardly and clutched his right leg. The team said he’ll be a game-time decision.
Kamara didn’t speak to reporters following practice. Coach Gregg Berhalter said Kamara would be evaluated and treated.
Berhalter said he anticipated that Kamara would be available for Sunday’s championship match against the Timbers at Mapfre Stadium.
