Three matches after returning from knee and foot problems, Sturridge injured his hamstring as a second half substitute in Liverpool’s loss to Newcastle this weekend.
It is being reported that the striker is set to miss “weeks” of play with the injury, as Liverpool gets set for a busy and important stretch of matches in the holiday season.
Klopp’s men have six matches in the next three weeks, and it looks like Sturridge will miss that run and be out until the New Year.

Injuries have limited Sturridge to just six appearances for the Reds this season. He has scored four goals in his short time on the pitch, showing how big of an impact he could make for Liverpool if he were able to stay healthy.
Sturridge has played in less than 30-percent of Liverpool’s matches over the past two seasons, appearing in 24 of a possible 81 matches.
