Three Premier League teams were in the draw for the last 32 of the UEFA Europa League on Monday, as Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Manchester United would all rather be in the UEFA Champions League but have to make do with a spot in the knockout rounds of European soccer’s second-tier cup competition.
Man United — in the Europa League after being eliminated from the UCL group stage last week — will face Danish minnows FC Midtjylland who knocked out Southampton in the playoff round back in August. Louis Van Gaal‘s side will be heavy favorites to advance but with their goalscoring woes and likely being more focused on the PL, it remains to be seen how seriously they take this competition.
Liverpool face German side Augsburg as Jurgen Klopp will head back to his homeland to play a familiar Bundesliga foe, while Mauricio Pochettino‘s Tottenham also face a familiar foe in Fiorentina, the team who knocked them out at this stage last season.

Some other tasty ties include many of the teams dropping out of the UCL at the group stage and into the last 32 of the Europa League as Borussia Dortmund face FC Porto, Sporting Lisbon and Bayer Leverkusen square off, while Villarreal vs. Napoli will also be an intriguing encounter.
The first legs will take place on Thursday Feb. 13 and the second legs will take place a week later on Feb. 20. Due to all three English teams being seeded in the draw they will play their second legs at home.
