Neville opened his managerial career with a disappointing loss to Lyon in the Champions League before drawing Eibar in La Liga.
While Valencia was expected to beat Barakaldo, a side that plays in Spain’s third division, it was still a big win for both the club and Neville.

It paid off, as Negredo scored just 30 minutes into the match. Santi Mina, a 20-year-old who has been having a breakout season for Valencia, also scored in the first half.
