- Lee’s stunner wins it late
- Wickham nets PK for Palace
- Krkic the star for Stoke
Penalties for both sides nearly accounted for all the scoring at the Britannia Stadium, but Chung-yong Lee more than made up for it with a game-winning stunner as Crystal Palace took three points from Stoke City at the Brittania Stadium on Saturday.
But it was Lee’s blast that lifted the match to another level, giving Palace a tie for fifth on points and dropping Stoke to 11th.

Bojan Krkic sent a great-looking 20-yard strike toward the left post, but Wayne Hennessey went horizontal to parry the shot wide of the frame.
And that save would look even bigger before halftime, as Wilfried Zaha was taken down in the Stoke box. Wickham stepped up to convert the PK, and Palace had a 1-0 lead at the Britannia.
But a Damien Delaney hand ball in the box allowed Bojan to finish his PK chance and level things up.
That’s when Lee uncorked a gorgeous blast from distance, giving Palace all three points.
