The final Premier League match before Christmas kicks off today as Arsenal hosts Manchester City in a battle of title favorites (Watch live, 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN and online via Live Extra).
With Arsenal sitting just one point ahead of City on the table, second-place is up for grabs in a match that could determine the final standings come May.
Manchester City welcomes back Sergio Aguero, as the Argentinian striker returns to the starting XI after missing four matches with a heel injury. City’s leading scorer will look to add another goal to his tally, as Manuel Pellegrini‘s side has had some struggles away from home. Raheem Sterling starts on the bench today.
There was some hope that Alexis Sanchez would be able to return from a hamstring injury for Arsenal, but the Chilean has not been picked and will miss his fourth straight match. Olivier Giroud has been in fine form up top, and will look for some help from Joel Campbell who starts again.
