Even a father withholding a passport won’t stop the rumors on Wednesday (and Marko Grujic does appear to be a future Liverpool man, after all).

If MLSSoccer.com is to be believed, Stoke City could be turning to Major League Soccer for attacking reinforcements. David Accam has been training with the Potters, and the Ghanaian DP has impressed Mark Hughes and his staff. Getting a work permit in England isn’t easy, but the 25-year-old is on Stoke’s radar according to a report from his native Ghana.

Newcastle United is looking at a pair of left backs in the transfer market, including Lorient youngster Raphael Guerreiro. The 21-year-old Portuguese player could cost Newcastle about $13 million, while the Magpies could be looking at a Dutch defender in Jetro Willems. The PSV man flew into Newcastle to see ex-teammate Georginio Wijnaldum play, and set the rumor mill a-buzzing by Tweeting that he was flying “to the future” (Although that’s true in nearly every case not involving a DeLorean run by plutonium).

Newcastle United star Ayoze Perez burst onto the scene after a low-budget move from tiny Tenerife last year, and the Magpies’ attacker made some noise on Wednesday during an interview on the radio in his former home. Perez says there’s truth to interest from Manchester United and Spurs, but that “his place is at Newcastle United“.

Sky Sports say Camilo Zuniga could make the move from Napoli to Bournemouth. The Cherries would like improved defensive cover, and the 30-year-old Colombian fits that bill.

And Sky also says Aston Villa boss Remi Garde would like to pluck Swiss international Gokhan Inler from Leicester City. Inler has found the playing time hard to find at King Power Stadium.
