Swansea City 1-0 West Bromwich Albion: Ki’s early tally tells the tale

Ki Sung-Yueng‘s capitalization on a clumsy Boaz Myhill play was the perfect symbolization of a boxing day to forget for the visitors and most viewers on Saturday at the Liberty Stadium.

That said, Swans fans will be thrilled as their club climbed out of the drop zone with a 1-0 win, and the Welsh side will stay out of the bottom three regardless of what Newcastle does against Everton thanks to Norwich’s loss to Spurs.

West Brom is now within three points of the drop zone thanks to its loss.

Swansea went up through Ki, as Myhill could not collect a low shot off his post that bounced off his back and eluded his control. Ki burst through the power the ball home from very close range of both the goal and Myhill’s face.

West Brom’s best chance to equalize took a wild turn off the wall, as Chris Brunt‘s left-footed free kicked spun wide of the frame.
