While trying to negotiate a new contract with Barcelona, Neymar has confirmed that he has received interest from Premier League big-spenders Manchester City.
The 23-year-old’s contract with Barca expires in 2018, but the club is looking to give him an extension this summer to fend off any other potential suitors.

However, with Lionel Messi also in need of a new contract, it has been speculated that Barcelona may not be able to afford both superstars, and a transfer fee for either of those players would be a record payout.
When asked about the possibility of leaving Barcelona by Spanish news outlet AS Diario, Neymar responded, “I don’t know, life is long.” When asked about if Manchester City was interested in signing him, his answer was a simple “Yes.”
With Pep Guardiola tabbed to manage Manchester City next season, City ownership would likely hand Guardiola the checkbook and allow him to sign any player he wants, with one of those supposedly Neymar.
Neymar’s father has also added some juice to the rumors that he may leave Barcelona, as tax issues have arisen with the Spanish government.
