Thanks to Arsenal’s loss at Southampton, Leicester City maintained a two-point lead at the top of the Premier League table, even after their defeat to Liverpool.

With 38 points through 18 matches, manager Claudio Ranieri is one win away from reaching his preseason goal of 40 points.

The Foxes have sat at the top of the league since early December, but they could fall with an upcoming match against Manchester City on Tuesday. City sit three points behind Leicester, and would move ahead of the Foxes on goal differential with a win.

Despite the implications of the big game coming up, Ranieri is staying calm, urging his players to relax and enjoy their football.

You know my idea about this (the title) – we are dreaming.

We are in good condition and in a good position with 38 points. Now we can continue but I want to see my players enjoy it. I don’t know why we were so nervous at the beginning (against Liverpool). Why?

Play football, don’t worry. If you lose, lose. That’s it. We have the time.

Leicester is in the midst of a very tough stretch of matches, and by Ranieri’s comments, he knows the results may not come as they were earlier in the season. In their next eight Premier League matches, the Foxes face four teams currently in the top eight, including Manchester City twice.
