Shaqiri scored the first goal, but it was the culmination of some gorgeous combination play started by Geoff Cameron and completed by Bojan Krkic, Marko Arnautovic and the Swiss man with the giant calves.

The lead didn’t last long, though Lukaku may’ve been a hair offside when he got on the end of Ross Barkley and James McCarthy‘s build-up.

Shaqiri made it 2-1 just before halftime with a wonderful goal, lobbing Tim Howard off a gorgeous diagonal ball from Bojan Krkic.

Lukaku answered back around the hour mark, and it would come down to 30 minutes between the hosts and Potters at Goodison.

It took far less for Everton to go ahead, with Ross Barkley’s ball across the six eluding several Potters en route to Deulofeu.

Arnautovic found Joselu for the equalizer, as the back-and-forth continued in earnest.

Then John Stones sliced down Arnautovic, who smashed home the PK to make it 4-3.
