Forget Manchester United, Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain; Cristiano Ronaldo will be playing for Real Madrid, and he’ll be doing so until he’s nearing his 40th birthday.

That’s the quote from Ronaldo’s super agent, Jorge Mendes, when quizzed about the future of his main client.

From BeIn Sports:

“He’s the best player of all time,” Mendes is quoted as telling Sky Sport, “I am sure that he will play the next four, five, six, seven years at Real Madrid. He will end his career there.

“He’s happy with ‘Los Blancos’. He’ll hang up his boots when he’s 40.”

Ronaldo’s no stranger to the transfer rumor mill, but the gossip magnate is also a hotelier and film producer.

Why leave Madrid, where he’s royalty? There are plenty of reasons, and Mendes is a man who’s job it is to keep his client’s names in the headlines. That said, perhaps all the talk of Ronaldo skipping town is bluster.
