Could Geoff Cameron‘s red card be rescinded?

The Stoke City midfielder was sent off for a slap to the back of the head of West Brom’s Claudio Yacob after a 50/50 ball on Saturday.

The Baggies’ player hit the deck fairly hard after the incident, and referee Lee Mason showed Cameron the third red card of his career.

Cameron would miss Tuesday’s League Cup semifinal first leg against Liverpool, an FA Cup match against Doncaster Rovers, and a Premier League visit from Norwich City.

It’s his second red card as a Potter, the first coming in the FA Cup. He’s also been shown a red card when he was with the Houston Dynamo.

Three red cards in close to 22,000 minutes. Could that total go back down to two?
