United States men’s national team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has called in his January camp roster, which will face Iceland on Jan. 31 and Canada on Feb. 5.
The camp, which runs from Jan. 11 to Feb. 6, has some interesting names. Still youth heavy, Klinsmann has called upon some interesting names, like dual national Tony Tchani of the Columbus Crew and former Liverpool man Marc Pelosi.
There are several regulars, too, with Jozy Altidore, Michael Bradley, Mix Diskerud, Matt Besler and Jermaine Jones on board.
Still dissatisfied with his back line, Klinsmann has Matt Miazga headlining a quintet of defenders that includes Besler, Montreal’s Eric Miller, Vancouver’s Tim Parker and Dallas’ Kellyn Acosta.
Then there’s Luis Robles, the 31-year-old Red Bulls goalkeeper who hasn’t played for the USMNT since 2009, who will compete for time between the sticks with Bill Hamid. And Columbus is well-represented, with Ethan Finlay joined by Tchani and Wil Trapp.
We’ll explore how they may best lineup later, but here’s the full roster (for now):
