With the transfer window now open, one of the most talked about names is that of West Brom’s Saido Berahino.
The 22-year-old striker has had a falling-out at The Hawthorns and is likely on his way out to the highest bidder in January.

Most heavily linked with a move to Tottenham, The Daily Mail is reporting that Newcastle United is also interested in the controversial-yet-talented goalscorer.
The report states that Newcastle made a summer bid for Berahino of $26 million, which would be the most expensive transfer in club history. While West Brom initially rejected that bid, it is reportedly still “on the table,” as Newcastle is keen to sign a striker in the January window.
West Brom also rejected a summer bid from Tottenham of $30 million, but with Berahino’s off-the-field issues and lack of playing time this season, the Baggies may be forced to accept a lower bid than what they once hoped for.
Steve McClaren is desperate for a striker at Newcastle, as the Magpies have lost four consecutive matches without scoring a goal. Newcastle’s last goal came on December 19, as the club has now played more than 400 minutes without finding the back of the net. With just 19 goals in 20 Premier League matches this season, Berahino would be a huge boost to the attack.
