Adidas CEO Herbert Hainer recently came out and publicly criticized Manchester United’s style of play, even though the team has shown flashes of breaking out of their slump with back-to-back wins after going eight games without victory.
In the latest edition of PST Extra Jenna Corrado and I decipher Hainer’s comments and talk about how United can change their style with goals drying up — United have failed to score in the first half of any of their last 10 home games in all competitions — and plenty of possession amounting to very few chances thanks to stagnant play in the final third.
