After stints with Dutch giants PSV and Turkish champions Galatasaray, Amrabat has spent the past two seasons in Spain with Malaga, where he finished with six goals and seven assists in 2014-15.
The 28-year-old can play as a Number 10 or out on the wing, and his presence in the attack will help take some of the pressure off of Ighalo and Deeney, who have combined for 19 of Watford’s 25 goals. Amrabat has made 23 appearances for the Moroccan national team, playing in two Africa Cup of Nations.
Another newly promoted club in Norwich City also completed a move on Monday, with the Canaries signing big center-back Timm Klose from Wolfsburg.
No relation to the German legend Miroslav Klose, Timm Klose plays for Switzerland internationally and helped Wolfsburg to a second-place finish in the Bundesliga last season. Standing at 6-feet-4-inches, the 27-year-old will make his presence felt in a Canaries back-line that has conceded 38 goals on the season, one of the worst marks in the Premier League.
Klose joins Ivo Pinto as the second defender to be signed by Norwich this transfer window.
