Football Fansite Profile: Full Time Devils

This week’s Football Fansite Profile features a YouTube channel that’s had no shortage of narrative to navigate lately. Full Time Devils proclaims itself “the world’s largest football fan channel,” producing videos for the Red Half of Manchester. It also happens to be the channel that discovered THIS English national treasure.

MiB: Give us some background on Full Time Devils. The who, what, when, where and why it began. And how it’s grown since its inception.

Full Time Devils: The channel was setup by two United fans who thought there wasn’t anything out there that represented United fans’ points of view on YouTube, since then we’ve grown across loads of digital platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Vine, etc.) with the same idea, to give fans a platform to air their views. We’re lucky to be part of a network, The Football Republic and there are going to be a lot of exciting things going forward for the channel

MiB: This season’s most surprising storyline at Manchester United is …

FTD: Anthony Martial. When we signed him, he was dubbed a ‘waste of money’ by some newspapers and some United fans weren’t sure if the club had just made the right move in bringing the young Frenchman in for such a big price tag.

His debut was a dream – coming off the bench to score the winner against Liverpool in front of the Stretford End, perfect! He’s shown great potential in his time here so far too, with his all-round play and goalscoring. The biggest compliment that can be made to him is that now nobody is criticising his transfer fee now.

MiB: The one thing I would change at Manchester United is …

FTD: The Glazers. Enough said.

MiB: Look into your crystal ball. How does the rest of the season play out for United?

FTD: I’m an eternal optimist and that will play a big part in my prediction. I think we’ll get better, start scoring more goals and, with the way the league has been this year, we’ll be there or thereabouts with the teams battling for the title.

We’ve been through a rough patch recently and I can only hope the players and Louis Van Gaal will learn from it and improve. A few good results and it’ll push us back up the table but things are so tight this season we can’t afford another run like we had in December.
