The world’s fastest man has put his Old Trafford dreams on hiatus.
It was an Olympic cycle ago that Usain Bolt claimed he could help make a difference at Manchester United, and less than two years since Jamaica coach Winfried Schaefer admitted interest in seeing Red Devils fan Bolt with his Reggae Boyz.

Some years later, the 6-foot-5 wannabe striker has said Manchester United would not be the place for him under Louis Van Gaal.
Joking? Probably, but it doesn’t change the humor of a non-footballer turning down a look at one of the world’s biggest clubs.
From the Manchester Evening News:
After being awarded a recent Sportsman of the Year award Bolt was asked if he’d like to train with his idols,
“Well, looking at how Van Gaal is, I don’t think I would ever want to be coached by him so I think I will put that on pause until we get a new coach,” was his damning reply.
Has to be kidding, right? Either way, this’ll put the daily cream in a lot of LVG haters’ coffee this fine Wednesday.
Plus, I don’t think they allow 958 as a squad number.
