Lionel Messi isn’t mincing words when it comes to his future.

Despite being oft-linked with Manchester City and any number of locations outside Barcelona, the Argentine wizard used an interview in France to say it’s Barcelona or bust (at least when it comes to Europe).

Messi, 28, has five Ballons d’Or and is coming off a treble-winning performance with Barcelona.

MARCA has the report:

“I’d never play for another European club.”

“Barcelona is my home and I want to retire here. However, it’s possible I could end my career in Argentina. Anything could happen in the future, but I want to stay here.”

There you have it. Not going anywhere.

Jokes aside, Messi playing for another side seems as unlikely as Carles Puyol or Andres Iniesta switching from the Blaugranas. To be fair, though, we probably said the same thing about Xavi, and money screams.
