Let’s take a run through the rumor mill. Watch out for the heavy machinery.

Could a Joe Allen return to Swansea be in the cards? The 25-year-old isn’t getting heavy playing time under new boss Jurgen Klopp, and Wales Online says a move could happen, but not until summer. The report says Swansea is keen to reinvest some of the $17 million netted by the sale of Jonjo Shelvey.

The priority, however, for Swansea boss Francesco Guidolin is said to be an attacker, and Ogenyi Onazi is the name bandied about by the same Welsh outlet. The 23-year-old Nigerian was born on Christmas and stands 6-foot-2. He has a goal and an assist in limited playing time.

Pretty plain words from Lionel Messi that he doesn’t plan on heading for the Premier League, regardless of where Pep Guardiola lands.

Sky Sports claims PSG and Chelsea could be doing business to bring Ezequiel Lavezzi to Stamford Bridge. The same report says Inter Milan has made a “concrete offer” for the midfielder, but perhaps PSG could be convinced to swap Lavezzi for one of the reported wantaway Blues.

A Brazilian outlet says Alexandre Pato has a verbal agreement to move from Corinthians to Chelsea.

Danny Graham is going on loan from Sunderland to Blackburn.
