West Ham is planning to go next level, and the London club has snared a big time English transfer target.

Sam Byram, 22, reportedly had a fee agreed with Everton when Newcastle and West Ham swooped in last week. And it appears those rumors were based in truth, as the Irons have plucked the Leeds United back away from the other suitors.

The Hammers call Byram a right back or midfielder, and there’s no denying the youngster is gifted. At his young age, he’s appeared 130 times in the Championship.

From WHUFC.com:

“I’m unbelievably proud and happy to join a Club as big as this,” said Byram, who will wear the No22 shirt. “I’m just looking forward to what the future holds and hopefully I can achieve things with the team going forward.”
Sky Sports is reporting the Hammers are active on another front, namely up front, seeking a loan deal for Fenerbahce striker Emmanuel Emenike.
While Andy Carrolls don’t grow on trees, the 28-year-old Emenike is a strong player with a veteran savvy to help make up for the big Englishman’s absence. He’d have to be recalled from his loan at Al Ain, but it’d be nice to see him try his luck in the Premier League.
