LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) FIFA has asked sport’s highest court to impose a two-year ban on a South Korean player who blamed his positive test for a steroid on a mustache-growing cream.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport says FIFA’s appeal against the Korea Football Association and Kang Soo-il will be heard on Feb. 5.

The court typically gives verdicts within weeks.
FIFA, which declined to comment on the case, is challenging a shorter sanction given Kang, who accepted a 15-match ban.

Kang’s positive test for methyltestosterone was announced hours before he was due to make his South Korea debut in a friendly against the United Arab Emirates last June.
The 28-year-old Jeju United forward said he got the mustache cream as a gift.
