All the Mous(s)a Dembeles.

Whether you spell it with one ‘S’ or two, our long dream of seeing two players with essentially the same name on the same Premier League club is all but settled.

One day after signing 28-year-old midfielder Mousa Dembele to a contract extension through 2019, Spurs are reportedly a medical away from landing long-term target Moussa Dembele from Fulham.

The first Dembele is 28, Belgian, and came over from Fulham in 2012. Sixty-two times capped, he’s appeared in 20 games for Spurs this year with four goals.

The second spells his first name with a second ‘s’ and is an in-form 19-year-old French attacker, also from Fulham, set to cost Spurs a reported $9 million.

He’ll be loaned back to the Cottagers for the rest of the season.

It’s a dream come true for this writer, who has in moments of weakness signed entire teams of players with the same last name for video game or fantasy squads.
