After a disappointing 2015, the new year has gotten off to a good start for the USMNT as Jozy Altidore scored the team’s first goal of 2016 against Iceland.

The U.S. had fallen behind, but a great bit of build-up play led to Altidore’s goal which drew the Stars and Stripes level.
Gyasi Zardes combined with Michael Bradley, who then slotted a perfect through-ball to Altidore. The big striker did well with his finish, getting a delicate chip up-and-over the Iceland keeper.
Hopefully, 2016 will be filled with plenty of more goals from Jozy & Co.
